On November 4th at 11:30 a.m., in the Organ Hall of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, a press conference will be held to announce the 2020 artistic programme, planned changes for the expansion of the Festival, and the results achieved during the first season of the Festival.
Taking part in the conference will be:

- Head of the Festival Education Programme Toms Ostrovskis
The second season of the Riga Jurmala Music Festival will take place in Summer 2020. Over the course of four weekends between July 10th and August 30th, 20 concerts will be performed in Riga and Jurmala by world-class symphony orchestras and soloists. Participants will include both artists beloved by Latvian audiences and those who will be making their debuts in the Baltic region.
During its inaugural season, the Festival was included among British newspaper The Telegraph’s top 10 summer events, in addition to gaining the European Festivals Association’s special EFFE Label. Its 20 symphony and chamber concerts were enjoyed by more than 16,000 people from 50 countries. The guests who travelled the furthest to Riga and Jūrmala came from Japan, Argentina, Israel, Mexico, Thailand, Australia and elsewhere. The Festival was reported on by more than 50 media outlets from 13 countries.
