Riga Jurmala Music Festival plans to announce 2022 Programme on 9 December

Established as one of the leading Europe’s summer destinations for the symphonic music lovers, the Riga Jurmala Music Festival will return in the Summer 2022 with four musical weekends centred around four major international symphonic orchestras. The Festival plans to announce its new season and the artistic programme on December 9, 2021 from 4 till 5 p.m. (EET) at the online event which will take place on the Festival’s official website and Facebook site.

“Announcing every next season of the Riga Jurmala Music Festival is a truly exciting and overwhelming moment not only for the Festival’s team and partners, but also for the artists, with whom we have managed to maintain warm and close relationship throughout these years,” explains Zane Čulkstēna, Executive Director of Riga Jurmala Music Festival. “Despite the challenges in the previous year and presumably – the year to come, we maintain our optimism and are determined to deliver the world-class artistic programme and highest visitor and artist experience. On behalf of the whole team, I invite all Festival friends, visitors, and classical music lovers to the public virtual launch of the Festival’s upcoming season.”

The opening of the Riga Jurmala Music Festival Season 2022 is going to take place online, on the Festival’s official website riga-jurmala.com and the Facebook platform, and all participants are invited to register prior to get a unique opportunity – to access limited number of special invitations to the upcoming Festival concerts.

During the event, Zane Čulkstēna, Executive Director, Martin T: son Engstroem, Artistic Director and Miguel Esteban, Associate Artistic Director of the Riga Jurmala Music Festival as well as Toms Ostrovskis, Director of the Riga Jurmala Festival Academy and the Festival’s partners will provide insights on the upcoming Festival’s season, programme, and other relevant updates.

Public ticket sales for the 2022 Festival season will start with the public launch event on 9 December.
