For the second year in a row, the symphony orchestra festival Riga Jurmala will take place in Latvia from 10 July to 30 August. For the second year in a row, the European Festival Association has awarded the Festival with the EFFE Label, an accolade rewarding the Festival for the quality for its artistic output, audience accessibility and international reach.
EFFE (Festivals for Europe) is an initiative from the European Festivals Association, with the support of the European Commission and Parliament. The EFFE Label is awarded by an international team of experts who evaluate festivals’ compliance with quality standards such as the artistic programming, ticket availability, business connectivity, audience diversity, and more.
Following the award, festivals are included on the international European festival platform festivalfinder.eu, which helps art and music lovers find artistic events in more than 45 European countries.
