Bearing in mind that the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, which had planned to perform at the Rīga Jūrmala Festival on August 20th - 22nd this year, has announced the cancellation of its European concert tour planned for this summer, their concerts planned as part of the Festival have also been cancelled. These changes also impact the other daytime and evening concerts planned for this weekend.
We offer the following to all those who have purchased tickets to the following concerts: Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Alice Coote, Mezzo-soprano on August 20th at 7 p.m. at the Latvian National Opera; Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Riccardo Muti on August 21st at 7 p.m. at the Latvian National Opera:
- Priority access during the period from February 22nd to March 1st to tickets for one of the concerts by the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra taking place from the 3rd - 4th September this year at the Latvian National Opera (Bayreuth Festival Orchestra, Conductor Andris Nelsons with soloists Christine Goerke (soprano) and Klaus Florian Vogt (tenor) on September 3rd at 7 p.m. or Bayreuth Festival Orchestra, Conductor Andris Nelsons with soloists Christine Goerke (soprano), Klaus Florian Vogt (tenor) and Günther Groissböck (bass) on September 4th);
- A full refund on tickets (within two working days of requesting a refund).

Information on other changes to concerts
The location and date for the concerts by Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes and violinist Daniel Lozakovich (previously scheduled for August 22nd) will change. The concert by Behzod Abduraimov has been cancelled.
Festival attendees who have purchased tickets to any of the following concerts can receive a full refund or a ticket to the rescheduled concerts:

the new planned date and location are September 2nd at the Great Guild, 7 p.m.
– Daniel Lozakovich, violin
the new planned date is August 5th with pianist George Li at the Great Guild, 7 p.m.
