We know how important it is for you to have peace of mind when attending public events as we begin to exit this global pandemic. The Festival team is here to keep you safe!
We are constantly monitoring the situation in Latvia and around the world in order to ensure the safety of our audience members, artists and Festival team. We are planning different scenarios to be able to hold the Riga Jurmala Music Festival’s 2021 season as originally planned and in compliance with all safety measures determined by the Government of Latvia.
These are unusual circumstances for all of us and situation may change quickly, which is why we will remain vigilant and adaptable. We encourage you to read the following summary of what we are doing to keep everyone safe this summer at the Riga Jurmala Music Festival. We will update our website with any changes as they may arise.
Masks must be worn at all times inside our venues, including during performances, as well as outdoors at Festival sites wherever physical distancing is more difficult to maintain. Please bring your own masks with you to the performances. Exceptions for eating and drinking if applicable.
There will be plenty of hand sanitizer stations around each Festival venue and the Festival team will be available to assist, if necessary.
The capacity of our venues is reduced and seating plans are adapted to allow for distancing measures.
All seating is arranged either by household groups or single seats, with at least one empty seat on either side of each type.
Once you’ve taken your seat, we ask you to remain in it as much as possible until the end of the performance.
For everyone’s safety, all performing artists and staff at the venues will be tested for COVID-19 and will only be present after receiving negative test results.
We encourage all Festival-goers to travel to the concert venues by personal means choosing a transport that is the safest option.

We encourage all visitors of the Festival to use the contact tracing app “Apturi Covid”, which has been developed by the Ministry of Health and the Centre for Disease Prevention and Control of Latvia.
This app is the fastest way to find out if you have been exposed to COVID-19. By using it, you can warn a much wider circle of people than just the ones you know about infection risk.
Please note that starting from version 1.4 (iOS) and 1.1 (Android) the app works together with several other apps in Europe that are based on the Apple and Google framework. This means that “Apturi Covid” sends encrypted data for checking against the keys on other devices, and receives the same from other countries. Find the latest list of countries here.
