The Riga Jurmala Music Festival team is made up of professionals in their own fields united by a passion, excitement and love for classical music, as well as the conviction that Riga and Jūrmala have a strong chance to become Northern Europe’s top destinations for music tourism.
The Artistic Directors of the festival are Martin Engstroem and Miguel Esteban. Martin Engstroem is the founder of the Verbier Festival, was Vice-President and Head of Artist Development at record company Deutsche Grammophon, and is often a jury member at various classical music competitions. Producer Miguel Esteban works in music and theatre projects worldwide, was a consultant for and co-founder of the Verbier Festival, and was the Financial Director for the Verbier Festival Academy and UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra, as well as being Director of UBS Wealth Management.
